Reporting Results: We understand the high level of anxiety associated with paternity testing and in order to expedite the results we have several options available for you to receive your results as soon as the test is complete. 

You can receive the results via: Mail, Email. Phone or Online.

We can safely give your results over the telephone if you properly identify yourself by answering case-sensitive questions and giving us your password. (For confidentiality purposes, we will not acknowledge that your case exists until you answer these questions).  No information will be release without the password.   Note:  Numerous phone calls regarding the status of your tests after your scheduled release date has been given to you will result in the loss of phone access to the results.

Results are typically made available via email and phone after 2:00 p.m. (West Coast)  on the day they are scheduled to be completed.

Processing time examples:

5-Day Test:  If the samples are received on Monday results will be available the following Monday.

3-Day Test:  If the samples are received on Monday results will be available Thursday.

2-Day Test:  If the samples are received on Monday results will be available Wednesday.

1-Day Test:  If the samples are received on Monday results will be available Tuesday.

We understand that making purchase online involves a great deal of trust on your part. We take this trust very seriously, and make it our highest priority to ensure the security and confidentiality of the information you provide. Paternity Experts uses the industry-standard SSL (secure socket layer) technology to protect your financial transaction.  This protects both your credit card and other information from eavesdroppers. Once we receive your information, we store it behind a firewall and encrypt your sensitive credit card information.  We do not trade or sell your personal information to anyone.  For more details, please see our privacy policy.

Paternity Experts Refund and Testing Policy:

Cancellation on same day as order:
Refund = Cost of Product/Service LESS shipping or postage charges incurred, if any, less a $35 service.

Cancellation.   Valid for 30 days from the order date:
To get a partial refund, the kit must be returned to our office unopened with 30 days of the order date. No refund will be issued until the kit is returned. Refund = Cost of Product/Service LESS shipping charges plus $35 service fee.

Cancellation after one month of order date:
Kit is NON-REFUNDABLE if client has not returned the unopened the kit after one month of purchase.

Cancellation of Legal Testing:
Refund = Cost of Service LESS $75 per person service fee and FedEx charges if incurred.

-Samples must be returned to Genetic Identity-Paternity Experts for testing within six (6) months of purchase.  Any extensions on that time frame must be approved in writing by Genetic Identity-Paternity Experts.

-All samples received in the office by 2:30 p.m. (PST) will be started the same day.  Samples received after 2:30 p.m. will be started the next business day.  If you are returning your samples back via Express Services requesting signature confirmation, please send them to:   895 Country Club Rd. Suite C250, Eugene, OR 97401 and not to the PO Box.

-All personal cases are closed three (3) months after the initial test.  After three (3) months, a new test must be ordered.  There will be no add-ons to a test that is more than three (3) months old.

-We will provide one (1) signed copy of results and one (1) phone call.  Additional reports can be mailed at a rate of $25.00 per copy.  There is no charge for additional emailed reports, up to three.  Reports must be requested within 30 days of test completion.

-Genetic Identity-Paternity Experts will not provide reports on closed cases. 

-Genetic Identity-Paternity Experts is not responsible for lost or misdirected mail.

-If Genetic Identity-Paternity Experts tests your sample and it is non compliant, fails to provide a DNA Profile, you will have the option of purchasing a new kit for collection ($10.00), or sending in a collect & send sample swab.  The cost to repeat a failed sample is $35.00 per sample.  To submit a new forensic sample for testing, the cost is $80.00 per sample.

-Only authorized contacts with the password will have access to account information.  This includes email and phone access. 

-Due to the nature of genetic testing, Genetic Identity-Paternity Experts assumes no liability for tests not completed within two (2) to five (5) business days.  We will do everything possible to get your test processed in the time frame you paid for but if the sample fails quality control it may take longer.  Quality control failures can include improper sample collection (not enough DNA), degraded DNA samples, contamination, reagent problems or instrument failure.
